Or skeletal animation? (I dunno)
@OZApps I won't tell but I think you know it :))
Bringing back an old old thread here.
But has anyone used this lately with latest version of spriter?
Or has everyone that use bone animation moved to Spine?
My team (Guava7) has moved to Spine since then
you can get spriter pro now for a dollar...although i don't know how it works with gideros nowadays.
(pyxel edit seems interesting too for indie devs)
@kesegh man you beat me to it. I saw the bundle over on reddit and my eyes nearly popped out of my skull. I'm buying it right now
FYI all, that bundle contains heaps of great dev tools, not just Spriter!
Just be aware that you need Steam installed for a bunch of the products
@antix did you bought the spriter from the humblebundle.com?
@tytadas yes I purchased it. I had to reinstall Steam but it was still worth it. I paid $10 and got the entire bundle, SpriteIlluminator looks pretty amazing also.
Thanks for the info, this project by @PanPan may still work:https://github.com/ippan/SpriterIntegration ( original thread )
If not, is there any chance to make one of the existing spriter api a gideros plugin? https://brashmonkey.com/spriter-api/
@pie I will try to check that code or tomorrow and report back.
@pie from my experiment the newer files don't work with this code. I got my object to load and display but it just appeared as a random collection of sprites on screen. The file format seems a bit different also.
I wonder if it's possible to get an older version of Spriter, just for Gideros
What a pity, thanks for reporting back
No prob. It's kind of annoying when companies change things so much it totally breaks previous versions. If anyone wanted to make a newer version.. the devs of Spriter seem more than happy to assist from the looks of their forums
Maybe integrating the C# api is easy, take a look here
Unfortunately I fear it's still far away from my skills, I can't even imagine where to start
@pie That looks pretty cool but making plugins isn't something I'm ready to tackle with Gideros yet and as far as I know, the documentation isn't quite there yet for making plugins.
the cpp api is perhaps even more suitable to use with gideros:
Any willing maintainer with a better knowledge on gideros source? is this something we could hope on for the future?
Just bought full humblebundle pack right now, I'll tell you how I get on with spriter (and sprite illuminator)
